2. The mixture enters the catalytic converter

Unburned mixture should be prevented from entering the catalytic converter. The temperature at which the three-way catalyst begins to work is about 200 degrees Celsius, the best working temperature is 400 degrees Celsius to 800 degrees Celsius, and the precious metal composition of the catalyst itself will also produce chemical changes after more than 1000 degrees Celsius, so that the effective catalyst composition in the catalyst is reduced, so that the catalytic effect is weakened. Therefore, in the process of vehicle use, we should pay attention to exclude the following situations: first, idling for too long; Second, the ignition time is too late; Three, individual cylinder fire does not work; Fourth, it is difficult to start; Fifth, the mixture is too strong; Six is engine oil burning, seven is oxygen sensor failure; Eight, the water temperature caused by poor heat dissipation is too high.

3. Avoid dragging

When driving on uneven roads, special attention should be paid not to "support the bottom", because most of the internal catalytic converters are catalyst carriers formed by honeycomb pottery, which is easy to break after collision, making the catalytic converters fail and the exhaust pipe blocked.

4. Stop in time for inspection

Abnormal working conditions, such as tempering or repetitive stalling, should be stopped in time for inspection, because these conditions can lead to permanent damage to the catalytic converter

5. Remove from heat

Do not turn off the ignition switch in a moving vehicle.

6. Replace it in time

Check the three-way catalytic converter during vehicle maintenance. The contents of the inspection are: the exhaust pipe has a normal sound, which is usually caused by the exhaust pipe joint loosening, the three-way catalyst damage, the catalyst replacement plug loosening and other reasons; The exhaust pipe has no appearance damage such as cracking or shell flattening; Whether catalyst particles are discharged from the exhaust tailpipe. If the three-way catalyst housing is damaged or the exhaust tailpipe discharges particles, it needs to be replaced.
