The consequences of carbon load accumulation


Ignoring warnings may result in speed limits and the need for service regeneration. In addition, if parking regeneration is neglected for a long time, the carbon load in the DPF will continue to accumulate, and ultimately can only be solved through more tedious service regeneration, which not only takes longer but also increases unnecessary trouble.


Detect carbon load and perform professional treatment if necessary to remove carbon deposits. Service regeneration is a means of addressing the severe accumulation of carbon load within DPF. When the DPF is severely clogged, the carbon load indicator light will continue to flash, and the vehicle will be subject to speed and torque restrictions. At this point, the driver needs to take the vehicle to the service station for professional service regeneration operations.


The service station will first use diagnostic instruments to detect the carbon load inside the DPF. If this value does not exceed the upper limit of service regeneration, a method similar to parking regeneration will be used to allow the vehicle to burn off the carbon deposits in the DPF on its own. However, once this value exceeds the upper limit of regeneration, a more professional approach is needed - dismantling the DPF, using specialized equipment to remove carbon deposits, and finally reinstalling it back into the vehicle.
