Through advanced filtration technology and high - quality materials, we ensure that our DPFs meet the most stringent environmental standards helping to improve air quality and protect the environment.
The maintenance period for the three-way catalyst should not be too long. Generally, it is necessary to go to a 4S store or a regular repair shop for cleaning and maintenance. Paying more attention to the car during daily use can better maintain the performance of the beloved vehicle and reduce the composition of harmful substances in the exhaust gas. Pay attention to the following points more often:
1. Cars equipped with a three-way catalyst should not use leaded gasoline, as the lead particles in the exhaust gas will coat the catalyst surface when passing through the three-way catalyst, reducing the catalyst's active area and greatly decreasing the conversion efficiency of the catalyst, leading to lead poisoning of the three-way catalyst.
2. Unburned mixed gas should be avoided from entering the catalyst. The temperature at which the three-way catalyst starts to work is around 200 degrees Celsius, and the optimal working temperature is between 400 degrees Celsius and 800 degrees Celsius. However, over 1000 degrees Celsius, the noble metal components acting as catalysts will also undergo chemical changes, reducing the effective catalyst components inside the catalyst and weakening the catalytic action. Therefore, attention should be paid to eliminate the following situations during vehicle use: first, idling for too long; second, late ignition timing; third, some cylinders not working due to misfire; fourth, starting difficulty; fifth, rich mixture; sixth, engine burning oil; seventh, oxygen sensor failure; eighth, overheating caused by poor heat dissipation.
3. When driving on uneven roads, be especially careful not to "bottom out," as most of the three-way catalyst's internal structure is formed by honeycomb ceramics, which can easily break after a collision, causing the catalyst to fail and the exhaust pipe to be blocked.
4. If abnormal working conditions occur, such as backfiring or repeated stalling, stop the vehicle and check immediately, as these conditions can lead to permanent damage to the catalytic converter.
5. Do not cut off the ignition switch while the vehicle is moving.
6. Check the three-way catalyst during vehicle maintenance. Check items include: whether there is any abnormal sound from the exhaust pipe, which is usually caused by loose exhaust pipe connections, damaged three-way catalyst, or loose catalyst replacement plugs; whether there is any cracking or deformation of the exhaust pipe or shell; whether there is any release of catalyst particles from the exhaust tailpipe. If the three-way catalyst shell is damaged or particles are emitted from the exhaust tailpipe, replacement is required.
