Through advanced filtration technology and high - quality materials, we ensure that our DPFs meet the most stringent environmental standards helping to improve air quality and protect the environment.
3、 DPF service regeneration
After discussing the relevant content of DPF active regeneration, we turn to DPF service regeneration. This regeneration mode is different from active regeneration, as it mainly relies on the intervention of professional service agencies. The service regeneration mode is usually carried out when the vehicle reaches a certain mileage or when the DPF reaches a certain deposition amount, and the DPF is cleaned or replaced by professional equipment to restore its filtering performance. The advantage of this mode is that it is simple and easy to implement, and can effectively solve the regeneration problem of DPF. However, it also has disadvantages such as relatively high cost and strong dependence on service providers. Next, we will further analyze the operational process, advantages and disadvantages, and precautions for DPF service regeneration in practical applications.
Condition:
Park the vehicle on a flat and suitable area, ensuring that the exhaust emissions during the regeneration process are at a high temperature, while also being careful to stay away from pedestrians and flammable materials. Be sure to pull up the handbrake to prevent the vehicle from accidentally slipping. If your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, please shift the gear to N.
Start the vehicle and maintain idle speed, then press the DPF regeneration request switch (usually a self reset switch) as shown in the above figure.
The instrument panel will display the DPF regeneration indicator light, as shown in the figure;
Next, the vehicle's ECU will initiate an active regeneration program, and the idle speed will correspondingly increase to 2000 rpm, while the DPF regeneration indicator light will continue to light up. If the indicator light starts flashing within approximately 10 seconds after pressing the DPF regeneration request switch, it indicates that the DPF regeneration request has not been successfully implemented. This usually means that the current regeneration conditions are not met, and possible reasons include water temperature below 65 ℃, engine not idling, or DPF system malfunction. In this case, the user needs to resolve these issues before attempting to perform manual parking regeneration again.
The manual parking regeneration process will last for about 40 minutes until the carbon load indicator light and regeneration status indicator light are both turned off, and the idle speed returns to normal. At this point, the manual regeneration process can be completed and the vehicle can return to normal driving mode.
4、 Precautions during the regeneration process
If the regeneration indicator light is on, it indicates that the aftertreatment system is undergoing DPF regeneration. During this period, in order to prevent damage to the aftertreatment system due to high temperatures, please make sure to keep the engine running until the regeneration indicator light goes out. At the same time, it should be noted that the exhaust temperature is high during DPF regeneration, so the exhaust port should be kept away from flammable materials and maintain a safe distance of at least two meters. When entering places such as gas stations where flammable and explosive dangerous goods are stored or pedestrian intensive areas, please be sure to press the DPF regeneration prohibition switch to ensure safety.
In addition, it should be noted that the regeneration prohibition switch should not be continuously pressed for a long time. Once the vehicle leaves the flammable and explosive hazardous area, it is necessary to promptly release the switch to ensure that the quality of the vehicle's exhaust emissions is not affected by the long-term ban on regeneration.
