Through advanced filtration technology and high - quality materials, we ensure that our DPFs meet the most stringent environmental standards helping to improve air quality and protect the environment.

How to deal with DPF blockage

When the particulate matter captured in the DPF reaches the processing limit, cardholders need to process it, using high temperature and other reaction conditions to burn the captured and collected particulate matter completely, turning it into ash and discharging it into the atmosphere with exhaust gas. At present, DPF is mainly divided into active regeneration and passive regeneration. If the blockage is severe, manual cleaning may also be required.

Passive regeneration: When the vehicle is driving at high speeds and the system detects that the particulate matter in the DPF device reaches a certain value, the exhaust will automatically rise to a higher temperature, converting nitric oxide into nitrogen dioxide and oxidizing carbon particles to automatically remove sediment particles from the filter.

When the particulate matter captured by the filter reaches the predetermined limit, additional fuel needs to be injected to increase the exhaust temperature and burn off the collected carbon particles.

Generally speaking, when the regeneration indicator light of the DPF lights up or flashes, it indicates that the vehicle needs to be regenerated. It is necessary to park nearby, pull up the handbrake, keep the engine idle, press the regeneration switch, and perform in-situ regeneration of the engine. At this time, the engine speed slightly increases. After the engine automatically returns to idle, the regeneration indicator light goes out, indicating that the DPF regeneration is completed and the vehicle can be driven normally.

If there are too many particles captured by the DPF for manual ash removal and the DPF cannot be regenerated, manual cleaning is required. The filter and its accessories need to be placed in a heating chamber to cause the urea crystals to decompose and ash under heat, while other particles are heated and loosened. Then, high-speed airflow is passed through the small holes of the ceramic filter, and the degraded carbon ash is cleaned by explosive blowing and multiple pressurized blowing to remove the carbon ash in the carrier and achieve the regeneration effect of clearing blockages.

In addition, when regenerating DPF, cardholders need to pay attention to:

● Epilogue

At present, for most National VI vehicle models, when the vehicle reaches around 8000 kilometers, it usually needs to be parked for 40-90 minutes to regenerate the DPF. In daily use, cardholders need to use and maintain the DPF reasonably according to the manufacturer's maintenance manual, otherwise it is easy to cause damage to the entire post-processing and increase their own vehicle maintenance costs.
