In fact, when the engine is in good condition, there is also a certain amount of lubricating oil through the cylinder wall and PCV valve to participate in the combustion in the combustion chamber.Therefore, if the harmful ingredients mixed in the lubricating oil come into contact with the catalytic converter, it will also lead to the failure of the three-way catalytic converter.

 5, three-way catalytic converter is violently knocked

 Because the core of the catalyst is a ceramic element, the car with three-way catalytic converter is most afraid of "bottom support".The violent knocking may cause the catalyst core to be broken and scrapped.But the trouble is not only these. When the engine slows down, the broken ceramic powder will be sucked into the cylinder with the fluctuation of exhaust pressure, causing serious wear and tear of the engine, and seriously scrapping the engine.

 6, three-way catalytic converter working temperature fusion When the catalytic device is working, the temperature is usually about 700 °C, and the temperature of the shell surface is also above 400 °C. If the temperature fusion occurs, the ceramic core of the catalyst may break. Although the manufacturer has considered this point in the design, the frequent temperature fusion will still have a certain impact on the life of the catalyst.

 7. Fault of engine oil supply system

 Many advanced engine control systems have self-protection functions. Once a cylinder fails, the computer will automatically cut off the oil supply of the cylinder to protect the engine and the catalyst, but many machines do not have this function at present.In addition, some mechanical faults, such as oil supply pressure is too high or too low, the electronic control system can do nothing for it.

Therefore, once the engine is found to be working abnormally, it must be stopped for maintenance immediately, and the engine can not be started with a pushcart.When the fuel quantity is insufficient, it is necessary to refuel as soon as possible, and the machine can not run in the state of fuel tank deficit for a long time, so as to avoid the failure of the three-way catalyst.
