Through advanced filtration technology and high - quality materials, we ensure that our DPFs meet the most stringent environmental standards helping to improve air quality and protect the environment.
There are two types of particulate filters for automobiles, one is diesel particulate filters, abbreviated as DPF; One type is the gasoline engine particulate filter, abbreviated as GPF. They are all installed on the exhaust pipe of the engine, usually at the rear of the three-way catalyst. Relatively speaking, diesel engine particulate filters are more prone to clogging.
Until now, there are still many car enthusiasts who do not understand the question: why do cars need to be equipped with particle traps? Not only will it affect the power of the engine, but it will also greatly increase the failure rate of the car.
This brings us to the working principle of the engine. Fuel burns in the combustion chamber, pushing the piston to reciprocate, and then undergoes a series of mechanical energy conversions to generate power. And the combustion of fuel will produce various harmful gases and solid particles to the environment, so we must purify the exhaust gas.
So there is a well-known component in the exhaust pipe, which is the three-way catalyst. It can convert harmful gases in the exhaust, such as carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, and hydrocarbons, into gases with less environmental harm.
However, three-way catalysts are not omnipotent and cannot treat small solid particles in exhaust gas. And with the implementation of the National VI B emission standard, the requirements for exhaust emissions are higher. The exhaust emission system must be equipped with particle traps to capture solid particles in the exhaust, so as to meet the standard for exhaust emissions.
Whether it is a blockage in the three-way catalyst or a blockage in the particulate trap, it can cause poor exhaust of the engine, corresponding fault warning lights displayed on the instrument panel, as well as problems such as increased fuel consumption, decreased power, and chaotic shifting logic.
